Status-hungry, Chris, and her trusty sidekick, Leah, have finally arrived: they are part of the cool crowd, led by queen bee Roseanne, lusty Ted, and the intellectual import, Ghazal. But running with the In Crowd is anything but easy for this awkward duo, and they find themselves in dunce caps instead of stilettos. Can grown-up geeks keep up with Joneses this fabulous? They’ll keep trying!

The Cast

Lainie Ventura - actress

Lainie Ventura

Lainie has been appearing in commercials and film for the past 15 years.    She received critical acclaim for her orgasm in the infamous Clairol Herbal Essences commercial some years back. She starred opposite Chris Diamantopoulos, Tony winner Alice Ripley and Tony nominee Emily Skinner in the award winning indie film The Adulterer. Lainie had roles in Cosmic Radio (starring Michael Madsen) and UnderMind (starring Ellen Pompeo and Sam Trammel) and the multi award winning short film "Damaged Goods." Lainie was nominated for best actress in a comedy at the Asbury Park Film Festival for her work in the award winning short film "Sitter" which she co-executive produced with creative partner Jennifer Harrison.  She and Jennifer were awarded Grand Prize for a reality show concept and sizzle script at the 2011 Hollywood Screenwriting Contest. Lainie is co-owner of LoveBar Productions and is co-producer of "The Four Letter Word" as well as a series regular.

Chris: A forty-something aspiring actress who is hell-bent on making her mark on the world, whether it's on the small screen or in the cool crowd. There is nothing she won’t do to get herself an audience, and she usually drags best friend Leah into the hijinks to make it happen.

Jennifer Harrison - writer/actress - The Four Letter Word

Jennifer Harrison

Jennifer Harrison began acting at the age of 7 in soap operas and commercials. After majoring in Theater (and Philosophy) at Franklin & Marshall College, she forged into voice over work. She has portrayed Cindy the Telemarketer on Comedy Central’s Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist; reporter Jen Betters on ABC-TV Saturday morning cartoon Science Court (alongside comics Paula Poundstone and Fred Stoller), and rounded out the cast of FX’s short-lived animated show, The Dick and Paula Celebrity Special (with Jonathan Katz, Bill Braudis and H. Jon Benjamin). She studied playwriting, acting and directing at the Eugene O’Neil Theater Center (of the National Theater Institute), and theater criticism at the National Critics’ Institute. After writing more than 15 award-winning feature-length screenplays for international producers – she is thrilled to be acting again in “The Four Letter Word!”

Leah: Chris’ forty-something best friend. Trusting, naïve, and all too often a little bit clueless, she stands by Chris, even if it makes her the butt of the joke.

Kerri Lynn Miller

Kerri Lynn Miller hails from the great state of New Jersey. Her passion to inspire and connect with others has led her to become an actor, writer and producer. She studied Meisner under Terry Knickerbocker. Her previous television credits include, “Blue Bloods,” “Odd Mom Out,” “Royal Pains,” “Guiding Light,” and “All My Children.” Kerri is thrilled to be apart of this fun and edgy production and would like to thank both the production team and the cast of “The Four Letter Word.” It has been such a joy working with you all! Finally she would like to thank her family and friends for all their love and support.

Roseanne: The Queen Bee, the coolest chick on the Upper West Side, and a wolf in supermodel’s clothing, this stunner loves an entourage, even if it includes two goofy tag-alongs like Chris and Leah. Roseanne is rich and gorgeous and a perfect example of what happens to mean girls when they grow up.

Anita Sabherwal

Anita Sabherwal

Anita Sabherwal, is a British born actress living in New York City. She studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and has appeared in: Film/TV/Web – Untitled Rock and Roll Drama pilot for HBO (directed by Martin Scorsese), After Ever After (Aladdin & Jasmine), 600 Hours, One Life to Live, Cyberchase, "Neptunus Rex," "Motherland," Head in the Oven (Episode 2), MTV Iggy, Wallstrip, High Times Magazine Awards.  On stage- Immaculate at LaMama, Rangoon with Pan Asian Rep at Theatre Row, Future Anxiety (director Jim Simpson) at The Flea Theatre, BritBits Vol. 4 at Mind the Gap Theatre, East Village Chronicles Vol. 5, at Metropolitan Playhouse, Seven Eleven 2007 with Desipina Productions. She is thrilled to be a part of "The Four Letter Word" team!

Ted: The lusty Persian side-kick to Roseanne, Ted knows that when she and Roseanne enter a room, heads will not only turn, they will roll.

Pooya-Mohseni - actress in The Four Letter Word

Pooya Mahzeni

Pooya Mohseni is an Iranian/American actor, writer and activist, born and raised in Tehran, Iran.

She studied design at Fashion Institute of Technology, and after joining the FIT theatre ensemble, discovered her love of acting and story-telling. She is a graduate from the esteemed Maggie Flanigan Studio. Fluent in Persian (Farsi), a Transgender advocate, and a voice for immigrants’ and women’s issues. Her credits include: Falling Water, Madam Secretary,  Terrifier,  and Everybody Loves Dick, as well as countless stage plays. Pooya is also involved in writing and co-writing original LGBT stories to shed light on an otherwise under represented community.

Ghazal: Ted’s sister, a leggy intellectual who takes Ted’s place as Roseanne’s partner in crime. Ghazal is a gorgeous counterpart to Roseanne, but has little time or desire for nastiness. Nonetheless, she’s running with the fast crowd, and her running shoes are fabulous.
